Play a few rounds of Endless with one rule: never move the cursor in a direction, then immediately reverse it, unless the board forced you to. It feels restrictive at first, and you’ll consciously catch yourself about to double back. That catching is the entire point — it surfaces how often your hands move without a plan. After a session or two, single-direction routing starts to feel normal, and your effective speed climbs even though your hand speed hasn’t changed.
The idle-frame audit
Pick a comfortable stack speed and consciously use every clearing animation as a repositioning window. Each time panels are resolving, ask “where does my cursor need to be next?” and go there now.
